Official Rules

Effective October 29, 2026

These are the Official Rules for Lovin games. They work together with the Terms of Use and the in-app Rules. If they ever disagree, these Official Rules win for anything about entering, winning, or prizes.

Who runs the game

Lovin Games LLC, a Utah limited liability company ("Lovin", "we"). Contact: lovinuniversity@gmail.com. Apple is not a sponsor of any Lovin game, contest, or prize and is not involved in them in any way. Lovin is also not sponsored or endorsed by any university.

Who can enter

• You must be 18 or older and a currently enrolled student at the school the game is for.
• One account per person.
• Players must stay in the area for the whole game. Leaving town can get you removed and makes you ineligible for prizes.
• Void where prohibited by law.

How to enter

• Lovin is free to enter. No purchase is necessary to enter or to win.
• Joining a game gives you no guarantee of winning. The game is decided by skill: finding and tagging your target, and avoiding being tagged.
• Optional power-ups are sold through Apple. They can help you play, but nobody has to buy anything, and every player can win without them.

How the game is won

• Each player is given one target and hunts them with a heart sticker, no contact. Tags are confirmed by the target, or count automatically after one hour if the target does not answer. Disputes are decided by an organizer.
• The last player standing wins. For some games the organizers may also award 2nd and 3rd place, and the Prize screen says so before you join.
• If a game ends on its end date with more than one player still in, the prize goes to the players with the most eliminations. Anyone tied shares it equally.
• The organizers make the final decision on all tags, disputes, and results.

The prize

• The prize is paid by Lovin Games LLC from its own funds. Entering does not cost anything, and no entry money is collected.
• The prize for a standard game is $250, paid to the winner. The organizers may set a different amount for a particular game. The amount is always shown on the Prize screen before you join.
• The prize is fixed. It does not grow or shrink with the number of players or with anything people buy.

How prizes are paid

• Winners add their Venmo or PayPal on the recap screen after the game.
• The organizers verify the results and then send the prize. Winners are responsible for any taxes on a prize.
• A winner who cannot be reached, or who broke the rules, may lose the prize.

Power-ups

Power-ups, the Lovin+ Pass, and heart styles are optional purchases made through Apple. Anyone in the game can buy them. Power-ups include Shields, Invisibility, Clock Boosts (which add 12 hours to your clock, up to 3 per game), Heartache Sessions, and the Survival Pack. The Lovin+ Pass gives the player faster location updates of their target (about every 2 minutes instead of 10), a Shield, an Invisibility, a badge and extra stats, for one game. Shields, Invisibility, quiet hours and safe zones still hide a target from a pass holder. These purchases add nothing to the prize and do not guarantee a win. They cannot be turned into cash.

Cancellation

We may cancel or change a game if it cannot be run fairly or safely. If we cancel a game before it ends, its prize is not awarded. Nothing was charged to enter.
